Governor Cuomo wants our bridges 

The Bridge Authority is among the most efficient parts of state government, relying on tolls for most income and charging far less than others.

So, why would the Bridge Authority want to merge? It doesn’t. Why would legislators who represent the area served by the Bridge Authority want it to merge with the Thruway? They don’t.

The only people who think this is a good idea are the governor and those who have to agree with him to keep their jobs. Gov. Cuomo tried this takeover a few years ago, but had to abandon it in the face of united local opposition. Now in a CALCULATED, DECEITFUL POWER PLAY, he has passed the takeover through the Legislature by SNEAKING it into the state budget, hoping that nobody pays attention.

Area residents you need to unite in opposition to the takeover by contacting your state representatives, and tell them you are against the Thruway takeover of our local bridges.
